Real Estate Photographer Spotlight: Matthew Reiff

Matthew is one of our awesome photographers from Jacksonville, Florida! He shared what he likes to do in his free time and some advice he’d give to someone new to real estate photography.

What is your role at WindowStill and what does a day of work typically look like for you?

I’m a real estate photographer. I start my day by logging into social media and connecting with local real estate agents. I enjoy learning about their properties and capturing photos that showcase the property’s unique features and create a lasting impression for potential buyers.

What do you like to do in your free time when you’re not working?

As a new dad, I’ve been spending most of my free time caring for and loving my precious newborn son. It’s hard to explain how happy and satisfying it is to see him grow and change every day.

But I haven’t given up on all of my interests and hobbies. I’ve always loved taking pictures and capturing the special moments of life. I love trying out new styles and techniques in my free time and keeping up with the latest developments in the field.

I also love remodeling and designing my home; changing spaces and making them feel warm and welcoming for my family and friends. Every step of the process is enjoyable, from picking out paint colors and furniture to planning and carrying out DIY projects.

What advice would you give to someone that’s new to your field and why?

I firmly believe that if you continue to put effort into making meaningful connections, good things will come your way in the end. Whether it’s in your personal life or professional career, having a strong support system and network of individuals who believe in you and your capabilities is invaluable.

What do you feel is the most important quality for someone in your field and why?

Having a true passion for what you do is one of the most important traits in any field, especially in photography. When you love what you do, it shows in your work and creates a level of dedication and commitment that can’t be matched by simply going through the motions.
