Here’s what you missed from Matthew Talbot…

The conversation starts with Matthew giving a little bit of background on how he got into real estate. He explains how his marketing background in school as well as his career experience at Xerox taught him a lot of sales acumen. He also shared how he always wanted to run his own business, and how getting into real estate allowed him to use his artistic view in marketing as a way to give back to the community.

Next, Matthew shared with Kevin why he thinks that real estate is a dated industry and which dated methods motivate him to be untraditional. He believes that as the world drastically changes, there are more tools available to create more value. To be the right people practicing the right things helping people the way to rise to the top.

When it comes to marketing, Matthew believes that his style is mainly who he is. He also believes that living true to their team’s core values, mission, and vision is how he redefines leadership and customer service.

Since he keeps his business digital, Matthew shared his top 3 social media platforms for maximizing success. This includes Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. He also added a piece of advice he’d give to new agents; be hyperfocused on being good at one thing/platform first.

Kevin followed that by asking how Matthew handles most inquiries that are solely about the property’s price. He explained how his team uses this to spark a conversation and increase engagement to get more prospects. When they immediately respond to inquiries on properties’ prices, it leads to a dialogue of learning about potential clients’ needs.

Next, he describes how his business coped with the challenges posed by the lockdown and how his team navigated through it by staying true to their core values and north star.

The conversation wraps up with Matthew sharing how they measure with their vision, “to be the most trusted, giving, and innovative real estate team in Michigan” which is what they strive for and their why. They keep track of these through client reviews, monetary contributions, and volunteer hours.
