In the meantime, here’s a summary of the conversation…

The conversation starts with Brad asking Phil what he wanted to be as a kid. Phil says his interests changed all the time but he was interested in being a train conductor or marine biologist. Due to the salary and demand of these jobs, he decided not to pursue them.

He talks about working for the government for a while before getting into business.

Phil then begins talking about his plane collection, saying that he now has 4 in his collection. He mentions that he also broke a world record for flying from New York to Paris.

Taylor asks where Phil gets his motivation from and he mentions that his mentors have helped him learn, however, he’s also had a natural drive and passion for his work. He also says goal-setting is a huge contributor to his success.

Brad asks if Phil has any advice for young entrepreneurs and Phil says he would tell them not to sell themselves short, think about why they want to do what they’re doing, and surround themselves with motivated peers.
