EPISODE 17: DYLAN TENT

The conversation starts off with Brad asking if Dylan wanted to be a real estate agent when he was younger. Dylan says that he actually wanted to be a chiropractor but changed his mind once he started going to school for the profession.
He decided to become a helicopter pilot instead. He noticed how amazing the luxury homes looked from the view of the helicopter, so he decided to take photos and sell them. This interest eventually shifted into selling luxury real estate.
He talks about how he heard about Sotheby’s from a friend and began working as a realtor with them.
Taylor asks about Dylan’s most memorable experience as an agent and he talks about buying his first helicopter. He notes it as an important milestone as it cuts down on time and he saves money from renting helicopters.
He then spends some time talking about how he uses video to advertise some of the properties he’s selling, saying that he likes to make them unique and funny.

Brad asks if Dylan has any advice for new agents and Dylan mentions the importance of investing in real estate photography. He also says that he feels it’s important to look professional by wearing a suit and tie.
The three spend some time talking about how Dylan plans his videos and the experience he’s had while working with mentors.
Lastly, Brad asks what Dylan’s goals for the next 5 years are. Dylan says that he would like to use Airbnb as his sole source of income as well as invest in some multifamily properties.
