EPISODE 18: MATT CRAMER

The conversation starts off with Brad asking Matt if he’s always wanted to be a real estate agent. Matt says that he was actually really interested in mummies and pyramids and that he wanted to study those as a kid.
As an adult, he worked with a moving company which is what initially made him interested in architecture and houses. He ended up going to school for video game art and played professionally on Twitch for a while.
Wanting a better balance between work and life, Matt decided to pursue a sales job but went off on his own in real estate after being introduced by a family member.

Taylor asks Matt about advice he’s received that resonated with him. He mentions the importance of a database in real estate. He says that’s your goal mine as an agent.
Brad asks if Matt has any advice that he would give to new agents. Matt says he would recommend reaching out to your network to let them know that you’re an agent. He also notes the importance of keeping in touch with the members of your network even after you’ve helped them buy or sell a house.
The three then begin talking about marketing strategy and the importance of customer relations and social media. They also talk about Matt’s first transaction and what went well as well as what went awry.
In the next 5 years, Matt notes that he’d like to increase his sales volume without spending more money on ads.
