The conversation starts off with Ryan giving a little bit of background on how long he’s been an agent and what he does on a daily basis.
He shares his career interests as a kid, mentioning he wanted to be a professional athlete. As an adult, he spent time working in insurance and finance before getting his MBA!
He tells Brad and Taylor that he’s always been interested in real estate and houses. When his wife was working as a freelancer for Social House Group, he ended up getting his real estate license and joining the team. On the topic of starting out in real estate, Ryan shares his experience with his first transaction as well as the worst property he’s seen.
For advice, he notes the importance of removing emotion from transactions as you have to wear a lot of different hats as an agent. The conversation ends with Ryan sharing his goals for the next year, how he’d start his business over with $1,000, and his favorite business books: Big Little Breakthroughs, To Sell is Human, and The One Thing.
