WindowStill Spotlight: Tom Conquest

This week under the WindowStill Spotlight we have Tom Conquest!

Tom is one of our awesome real estate photographers, serving Grand Rapids, MI, and the surrounding areas. Here’s what he had to say…

What is your role at WindowStill? What does a typical day of work look like for you?

I’m a real estate photographer and a drone operator with WindowStill. On a typical day, I arrive at a real estate location, meet with the agent or homeowner, shoot aerial photos, shoot exterior photos, then shoot the interior of the home.

Once I’ve finished my photos for the day, I go back home to download and upload the photos to WindowStill’s portal for editing!

How did you find WindowStill?

While I was searching on Indeed.com, I found a job posting for a real estate photographer at WindowStill. I responded to the posting and have been working with WindowStill ever since!

What do you like to do in your free time when you’re not working?

I love hunting, fishing, golfing, and attending sporting events at any level. I’m retired, so working with WindowStill part-time keeps me active and engaged with my community.

What advice would you give to an aspiring photographer/videographer?

I would say keep at it and try not to get discouraged. Trial and error are essential for growing as a photographer.

What do you feel is the most important quality in a photographer/videographer?

I would say staying current. Cameras, editing software, and other equipment are always improving, so it’s important to stay on top of these advancements. Keeping up with the latest advancements will allow you to be as efficient as possible in your craft!
