The conversation starts with Elan explaining how he got into the industry. He mentions that he started off doing admin work in the real estate world before pursuing his license, noting that he recommends starting off by observing in the field.

When he was younger, he went to school for PR, however, when he graduated, realized that opportunities in this field were hard to come by. You see, he graduated college right before the pandemic and the closures that followed.

Seeing real estate as a booming industry, Elan decided to get involved and hasn’t looked back.

Next, Elan talks about starting solo, telling Brad and Taylor that he dreamed of being his own boss. Elan notes that he loves making his own schedule and helping clients buy homes on his own terms. Brad and Taylor follow up by asking if Elan has any advice for other young realtors getting started in the industry.

His answer? Lean on the other agents at the brokerage! He explains that when clients question his age, he stresses that he has 100 years’ worth of experience available to him in the form of seasoned agents.

The conversation ends with Elan sharing his goals for the future as well as his favorite book, The Great Gatsby. He explains that he loved the message behind the true worth of wealth in the book.
