The conversation starts with Ryan explaining how he got into the industry. When he was younger, he wanted to be a professional golfer. He admits that he wasn’t exposed to real estate until he got into college.
From playing golf, he started working in finance before transitioning into residential real estate. He then shared how networking with the people he plays with has improved his career as an agent.
Brad and Taylor ask if Ryan received any advice that stuck with him throughout the years, to which he answers that reputation is everything. Especially for someone who works in a smaller area, building great connections and relationships with his clients will benefit him in the long run.
Next, he tells the story of the worst property he’s seen before sharing his goals for the future. Ryan explains that he wanted to focus on building his brand through videos by answering questions about real estate. He then spends some time talking about how he plans his videos for his YouTube channel.
As an introvert, he emphasizes that he prefers to attract than approach when it comes to marketing.
The conversation wraps up with Ryan sharing how he’d spend $1,000 if he were to start over again and his favorite self-help book: The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck.
