HERE’S WHAT YOU MISSED FROM GARY NEWTON…
The conversation starts with Gary giving a little bit of background on what he does as a real estate broker. When he was younger, he trained to be a karate master. After realizing that he can’t earn much from it, he left the profession.
He then spends some time talking about his previous jobs before working in real estate. Gary explains that he struggled to be an employee because he’d end up quitting or getting fired.
Next, he shared how his cousin, who works in real estate, was able to convince him to get a license and work in the field. He was surprised and confused to find out that his cousin, who did not go to college, was earning way more than he was. His curiosity led him to give real estate a shot.
At first, he also struggled to work in real estate. He shared that it took him six months before landing his first client. After a few years of experience and perseverance, he finally got the hang of everything. Gary believes that “If you can’t be good, be there.”
He also shares some of the worst property showings that he has experienced and what the experiences entailed.
The conversation wraps up with Gary sharing his goals for the years to come and what he’d do differently if he had to start all over again.
