Here’s what you missed from Nicole Gust…
Nicole introduces herself beyond her real estate career, highlighting her role as a mother of six and her strong ties to family, friends, and community.
Nicole’s journey into real estate began as a receptionist in a local firm in Reno post-college. Under the guidance of her mentor Karen Baker, she transitioned into a licensed agent in 2008 and eventually carved her niche in luxury real estate transactions in the Reno, NV area.
Geographically, Reno sits in Northern Nevada, boasting four distinct seasons, proximity to the Sierra Nevada mountains, and Lake Tahoe. Culturally, it’s dubbed the “biggest little city” with a Wild West vibe and offers attractions like legal gambling. The market has seen a surge due to an influx of Californians seeking tax incentives and a lower cost of living.
Nicole’s extensive experience spans pre and post-2008 market crashes. The attraction to Reno for Californians persists due to its lower cost of living despite a considerable commute. The real estate growth is driven by this influx of buyers with cash. Luxury properties range from $800,000 to multimillion-dollar estates, particularly in areas like Incline with lakefront properties. The emphasis for luxury clients is on lifestyle, community amenities, exclusivity, and personalized, tech-driven features.
Nicole’s focus on technology and her “Growth Lab” podcast aims to showcase local businesses, provide tips, and foster community connections. While not driven by monetary gain, the podcast’s goal is exposure, learning, and facilitating growth opportunities.
Juggling her thriving real estate career and being a mother of six presents similar challenges: delegation, time management, and identifying what tasks to handle personally. Nicole’s 2024 goals involve prioritizing quality relationships over sheer production numbers, streamlining processes, and anticipating challenges in the market due to a lack of sellers. Finally, she anticipates bidding wars and housing shortages for buyers, emphasizing the need for agents to be innovative in securing properties for their clients.
