The conversation starts with Mary Jo sharing what she does and how she got into real estate. Being in sales since she was 20 years old, real estate was one of the industries she always wanted to venture into.
Mary Jo then told the story of her first transaction. She shared the hoops and hurdles that she went through before she was able to close her first deal.
Next, she talked about how the lockdown affected her business. Mary Jo admits that there were a lot of changes she found challenging to adapt to. Nonetheless, her business went on with the help of virtual showings and meetings.
Brad and Taylor ask Mary if there’s any advice she’d give to new agents, to which she mentioned the importance of being patient, especially in the beginning as your first transaction may take a while. She also highlighted the importance of persevering through unfamiliar situations and maintaining a good relationship with your clients.
Next, she shared the story of her worst property experience and what the experience entailed. She then talked about how she got into real estate investing and what she’d do differently if she had to start all over again. She gave emphasis on the value of being ambitious, getting through rejections, hard work, and resilience.
