Here’s what you missed from Eb Asiedu…

Eb Asiedu, a real estate professional in the greater Lansing area, offers a glimpse into his life beyond the real estate realm. Originally from Ghana, he has called the United States home for approximately two decades. As a family man with a wife and two children, Eb finds joy in housework, building, and photography when he steps outside the world of real estate.

Eb’s interest in real estate ignited during his time in New York and further blossomed upon relocating to Michigan. Initially drawn to real estate investment, he explored the path of becoming a real estate agent. The pandemic became a pivotal moment for Eb, prompting him to enroll in a 40-hour class to obtain his real estate license in Michigan.

Affiliated with Keller Williams, Eb transitioned from part-time to a full-time real estate agent, underscoring the need to treat real estate as a business for success. He credits his achievements to the support and guidance received from successful agents within his office.

Specializing in the greater Lansing area, encompassing cities like East Lansing, Holt, and Okemos, Eb holds a state license but prefers collaborating with agents familiar with areas outside his primary service region. Stressing the importance of consulting local agents for accurate market information, he notes the significant variations that can occur compared to national news reports.

Lansing, according to Eb, boasts diverse restaurants, outdoor activities like Hot Island, and a range of attractions including a zoo, science center, parks, shuffleboard, and a kids museum. Providing a snapshot of the real estate market in Lansing, Eb notes a rapid 18-day average turnover on the market, contingent on price point and location. The average sales price hovers around $200,000, creating a favorable environment for sellers with ample buying opportunities due to competitive interest rates.

Next, Eb’s unique approach to real estate centers on providing experiences rather than mere transactions. He shares an example of guiding a first-time homebuyer through a curated experience. His emphasis lies in making clients feel informed, in control, and stress-free, ensuring transparency and honesty by directing them to professionals when needed.

For Eb, the essence of real estate is not solely the transaction but the people and connections forged with clients. He emphasizes the importance of checking in beyond buying or selling, sharing a story of assisting a veteran client in relocating from Charlotte to Michigan.

Eb seamlessly blends his passion for woodworking with his real estate role. From identifying opportunities in homes for clients to advising first-time homebuyers on budget-friendly updates, he weaves his craftsmanship into his real estate expertise.

Drawing on his military background, Eb narrates his experience using a VA Loan and the challenges faced due to a lack of understanding about the process. He underscores the importance of agent education on VA Loans and the unique connection formed with a client through shared military experiences.

Expressing frustration with agents’ inadequate understanding of the VA Loan process, Eb advocates for improved education on this crucial aspect of real estate transactions.

With a background in education, specifically working with college students, Eb likens guiding first-time homebuyers to assisting first-year college students. He emphasizes a step-by-step approach to ensure clients comprehend the intricate real estate process.

Following that, Eb recommends the book “The One Thing” by Gary Keller and Jay Papasan, drawing parallels between its philosophy and the importance of focusing on one thing in various aspects of life. He also shares a song that complements the book’s message.

Eb concludes with reassuring advice to potential homebuyers, urging them not to be scared and recommending connecting with an experienced agent to address all queries and concerns.
