Here’s what you missed from Brittany Arraut…

Brittany’s journey into real estate began with a solid foundation in healthcare occupational therapy. After experiencing the process of buying her first home and being referred to a real estate agent, she eventually obtained her real estate license. Initially working as an occupational therapy assistant, Brittany found herself drawn to real estate as a way to spend more time with her children and escape the dissatisfaction of her corporate job.

Transitioning into real estate was not without challenges. Leaving her stable job was a significant financial decision for her family, requiring careful planning and self-motivation to treat real estate as a full-time profession. She attributes much of her success to her mentor, who introduced her to strategies like door knocking, calling her sphere, snail mailing, and attending networking events. Her background in healthcare also influenced her approach, focusing on caring for people’s needs and ensuring she had all the answers for her clients.

In her first year in real estate, Brittany prioritized professional development, earning continuing education credits and creating groups within her brokerage for peer discussions and market updates. This dedication led to her being recognized and named as the relationship liaison for the company.

An unexpected offer to become the Director of Training and Development marked a pivotal moment in Brittany’s career. Joining a large brokerage with over 400 agents, she saw this role as a natural progression and embraced the opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of her colleagues.

Balancing her responsibilities as a director with her personal business and client interactions required intentional time management and boundary-setting. Utilizing technology for training sessions allowed her to streamline processes and offer resources to agents while maintaining her client interactions and community involvement.

Brittany’s commitment to client appreciation is evident through events like the “Spring Cleanout Event” and holiday gatherings, showcasing her dedication to maintaining meaningful connections beyond real estate transactions. Reflecting on memorable client experiences, Brittany shares stories of guiding clients through significant life transitions and overcoming challenges to ensure successful transactions. Her involvement in professional networks like the Greater Regional Alliance of Realtors reflects her dedication to learning and networking with industry professionals.

Despite the surprises and challenges of working in real estate, Brittany’s dedication to her clients shines through. Late-night work, going above and beyond, and providing trusted advice are all part of her natural inclination to be a caregiver, translating seamlessly into her approach in real estate.

Beyond her professional goals, Brittany values travel and family experiences, balancing remote work and virtual learning with her family’s renovation project of a motorhome. Her love for Grand Rapids and its diverse living styles further underscores her commitment to her community and clients.

Looking ahead, Brittany’s goals center on achieving work-life balance, mentoring and supporting agents, and maintaining good relationships with those she serves. Her dedication to her profession and clients is evident throughout her journey in real estate.
