Here’s what you missed from Brad Fall…
The conversation starts with Brad sharing his career prior to real estate. He talked about his time working at Planet Fitness and how he fell in love with the job as it taught him self-development skills that he believes he’ll be carrying for the rest of his life. He also talked about his community Instagram page, Treestand Brews which aims to add value and connect with brands to grow the page. It scaled up to a point, however, that he could not handle anymore that he ended up selling it.
When asked about his experience self-employed at Treestand Brews, he mentioned it as a perfect segue to real estate, allowing him to be more creative and market well, which translates well into the real estate industry. He also learned various skills while working at Planet Fitness, such as customer service and holding leadership positions, which allowed him to work with teams that constantly supported each other, grew, and developed similar to what he does now in real estate.
Next, Brad describes the Northern Michigan market to someone who has never been there, he explains that it has a little bit of everything and is very family-oriented. He takes pride in the fact that agents may be in competition, but they still treat each other like family and with respect. He believes that Northern Michigan offers the best of both worlds, with a mix of city and country living.
As for his involvement in Aspire North Realtors, Brad joined the network as soon as he started as a realtor. He sees it as a great way to put his foot in the door, get involved, and understand more about the higher level of how the housing market works. Holding the Membership Committee Chair has allowed him to play a more active role in shaping the direction of the organization.
When it comes to negotiating offers for a buyer, Brad acknowledges that the strategy changes when there is competition involved. However, he always looks for ways to make the offer more attractive. He likes to have a candid conversation with his client to determine how aggressive they want to be in the negotiation, while also ensuring that the client is never put in an uncomfortable position. At the end of the day, he wants his clients to feel satisfied with their purchase and not have any regrets about missing out on their dream home.
In regards to receiving the 2022 ERA Circle of Honor acknowledgment, the realtor feels humbled and excited and sees it as just the beginning of his career. He aims to be the top producer in his company and have his brokerage achieve a silver status in the next few years. Brad then talked about his multimedia/photography business, Fall Visuals, which he has scaled down as he prioritizes real estate more, but still enjoys using his photography skills in his work. Though it is not his long-term goal, he believes the skills he has developed in photography are beneficial to his real estate work.
The conversation concluded with Brad discussing The Ambition Mindz podcast, which was a fun project that he and his friend did for a year, and they are hoping to bring it back. The main message of the platform was to bring others along behind the scenes of successes and failures and to showcase what it takes to get there.
