Here’s what you missed from Kevin Yoder…

The conversation starts with Kevin sharing the many changes he’s seen in the industry since he started back in 2002 as well as how it has affected him as a realtor. He explains the different paths he could take during the 2008 crash, but he chose to stay with traditional real estate sales and work with buyers and sellers. He believes that when you create a systematic repeatable business model, the laws are not much of a factor when you stay true to the fundamentals.

Next, he talked about what motivates him to continue to create content for YouTube. Kevin shares how he used to spend a lot of money on advertising through radio. With Youtube, however, the consumers are doing the research. And if one wants to thrive and not just survive, they have to ask what’s going to create a distinct difference between them and their competition. He also talked about home warranties, which help the seller have a better product in the market. It means the buyer gets to live in a home within a year that covers the appliances, plumbing, and more.

The two then talked about the current average home prices in the Grand Rapids area, which is now up to 300,000. When it comes to managing agents, Kevin expresses his favorite part is teaching them and watching them succeed. However, the hardest part is seeing agents come in full of energy and quit too soon due to their mindset.

When asked why they chose to be under eXp realty, Kevin shares that having the fastest growing real estate company in real estate allows them to have the best training, collaboration with businesses, access to leads, and even a revenue share model. He also touched on the return on investment in radio advertising. As to what sets him apart from other agents, he believes it’s his commitment to constant and never-ending improvement.

The conversation wraps up with Kevin answering what he wants his legacy to be if he were to retire today. He shares the value of being focused on the present and not really seeing himself retiring. But when it comes down to it, he just hopes that he can leave this world better than he found it.
