The conversation starts with Tim giving a little bit of background on what he does as an agent, a secondary teacher, and a business owner. 

Tim shared his interest in interior design and construction. He mentions that this is what sparked his interest in real estate and that drove him to learn more about the industry upon his friend’s referral. He then started to shadow deals and transactions which led him to get his own real estate license. 

Next, Tim shared a piece of advice that stuck with him throughout the years: “Stay in your lane. Stay narrow but deep in your lane.” He explains that whether it’s a type of property or client, finding your niche and going deep in it will help you grow further in your career.

Tim tells Brad and Taylor the story of his first transaction and his worst property showing experience. He then shared his goals for the future as he plans to retire from teaching and start working full-time in real estate. 

The conversation wraps up with Tim sharing what he’d with $1,000 if he had to start all over again and his favorite business books: Extreme Ownership: How U.S. Navy SEALs Lead and Win and Can’t Hurt Me: Master Your Mind and Defy the Odds.
