The conversation starts with Jenifer giving a little bit of background on what she does. When she was younger, she always had an interest in broadcasting. This led her to real estate, which she believes she’s meant to do. In her free time, she hosts a local tv show in Jackson, Michigan. 

Katie then spends some time talking about the local tv show she’s in, explaining that it was born out of Covid-19. The program focuses on local information in the community, innovation out of the situation, how businesses survive and thrive, and ways to support one another.

Next, she talks about how she got into real estate as well as the people that highly influenced her growth in her career. She also shares some of the worst property showings that she has experienced and what the experiences entailed.

After working in her brokerage for 11 years, she shares the story of how the company started and what led her to become a partner.

The conversation wraps up with Katie sharing what she’d do differently if she had to start over and her favorite business books: Atomic Habits and Berkshire Hathaway After Buffet.
