HERE’S WHAT YOU MISSED FROM JAKE FARR…
The conversation starts with Jake giving a little bit of background on what he does as an associate realtor and a team leader. Before working in real estate, he worked in sales, had a business of his own, tried buying and selling appliances, and even refurbishing containers.
Next, Jake spends some time talking about real estate investing in commercial real estate. He also shared the interesting story of his first transaction that he got a year after he started. His offer got accepted but he did not have any cash to pay for it that he had to find a co-investor to work with him.
When he got his license, he realized that he enjoyed brokering deals more than flipping houses.
Jake then shared more about the videos that create where he features different parts of the neighborhood in Grand Rapids, events and updates, as well as promoting small businesses.
Brad and Taylor ask if Jake has received any piece of advice that stuck with him throughout the years. He shared the value of meeting up with clients and giving them free slots and showings.
He also talked about his worst property showing experience and a piece of advice he’d give to new agents: “If you’re thinking it, say it. Don’t hold back (after filtering it, of course!).”
The conversation ends with Jake sharing his goals for the future and his book recommendation: Never Split The Difference.
