EPISODE 21: CARLOS TURNER
On this episode of The Brad and Taylor Show, we sat down with Carlos Turner from Real Living Real Estate!

The conversation starts off with Brad asking Carlos what he wanted to be as a kid. Carlos mentions that he really looked up to his grandfather so he wanted to be just like him. He reflects on his grandfather, mentioning everyone in town knew him and that he was always polished and put together.
Taylor asked how he ended up selling real estate, to which Carlos says he didn’t have the greatest experience trying to find a realtor when he bought his first house. He says he went through a few different realtors before finding the right fit.
His realtor, Stephanie Lang, is actually the one who introduced him to real estate. He is still friends with her to this day and they’re now business partners!

He explains that he decided to take the leap and quit his job before he received his license, noting that he was without work for 9 months as he learned the ropes of real estate. He discusses how difficult this was, however, he wanted to sell real estate the right way, with a client-centered approach.
He says the most important part of his business model is getting to know his clients and putting their needs before anything else. This mindset led to him selling a $1.1 million property as his first transaction!
Brad and Taylor ask if Carlos received any advice that helped him in his journey. He mentions that he was told to understand when it’s time to part ways with a client. At the same time, he was told about the importance early on of chasing relationships rather than money in this field.
He spends some time talking about his journey and real estate as well as how he created video content to market himself to his community. He says in the next 5 years that he would like to grow his investment profile while maintaining a small team.
