Tyler: I’m a real estate agent.
Brad: Awesome. I like it. So how long have you been in real estate?

Tyler: A little bit of everything I worked for. No worries. Our company, a little bit of everything.

Taylor: Nice. What kind of got you interested in going in the path of real estate?

Tyler: I have thought about it since my early twenties. My husband, when we first got together and moved in together, had a house and I actually sold that for him per sale by the owner. And I just had so much fun, you know, marketing and selling it. So I just made a career out of it.

Brad: And you’re like, oh yeah, I’m going all-in on this. Let’s do it.

Tyler: That’s really, it just proved to me that that’s what I wanted to do.

Brad: Yeah. That’s awesome. And since you were doing it for a couple of years now, how did that next transaction go? So you did that on sale by the owner. How did it go once you got your license? When you sold that house, how long did it take until you got your license after that?

Tyler: A year and a half after I sold my husband’s house before getting my license.

Brad: Yeah. Gotcha. How’d it go after once you got started, how did that whole process go? Did it go smoothly? How did that first transaction go?

Tyler: It was great. I like it. And then the pandemic, right?

Brad: Yeah. So how’d that go for you? When everything got shut down, what did you change in your business? What’s the biggest thing that has probably changed since we got shut down?

Tyler: Well, at that point I hadn’t had too many sales, so I mean, really the pandemic was pretty much all I’ve known.

Brad: We worked with her for a long time now. She’s awesome. I remember the first time I met her. She’s awesome. What kind of advice did you get at the beginning of the kind of stuck with you along the way?

Tyler: My broker said if you just focus on being a realtor, successfully follow and it’s true.

Brad: Yeah. Over the last couple of years, what’s one of the worst showings or properties you’ve been to?

Tyler: I’d say over the summer I had some clients and they were looking at a house that was vacant. It was a rental property and the tenants had left in a hurry. It looked like the owner, he didn’t really clean it out at all. So we walk in and then you hear shuffling in the kitchen and next thing I know, there’s this big Groundhog chasing us all going out of the house, screaming.

Taylor: And you ended up selling that house?
