The conversation starts off with Laurie giving a little bit of background on what she does as an agent, mentioning she’s been in the business for 20 years.

 

She talks a little bit about her past experience, highlighting her time in engineering and public relations. She explains that she’s always had an interest in real estate as she had family members in the field growing up.

 

Since the freedom to make her own schedule and be her own boss was appealing, Laurie decided to go for it. She spends a little bit of time talking about the importance of a support system as an agent and how she went all-in with her business after her children graduated.
