In the meantime, here’s a summary of the conversation…
The conversation starts with Auston explaining what he does as a real estate developer.
He shared how his father, once a big guy in real estate, lost everything during the 2005 recession. Grasping the negative sides of real estate early on, he initially didn’t intend to be in the industry.
After finishing his college degree, Auston traveled around the country for 9 months. During the trip, he broke his leg and that led him to where he is now.
He starts developing with the guidance of his dad. He shared his first transaction and ends up having 8 double lots in the neighborhood.
An encounter he wished to never experience again is coming to a house with people doing sketchy things in the basement.
Last, he speaks favorably of The Go-Giver by Bob Burg to learn work ethics and urges everyone to read that book.
