Here’s what you missed from Kimberly Koss…

The conversation starts with Kim sharing what she learned from her father, a general contractor, and her mother, an aspiring interior designer. She grew around the concept of starting from scratch and putting everything together. It helps her in her current job as she enables her clients to visualize possibilities. She even assists in the creation of a cohesive design, which others may find challenging.

Next, Kim talked about her experiences working as a leasing agent in subsidized, senior, and student housing. She told stories about her clients and how she had to be very detailed in order to help them and get approved. She also talked about how she used to want to be a property manager but realized it wasn’t for her.

Kevin then asked why she had joined the Tina Peterson Team. Kim explained that there is most likely no one better in the business. She contacted Tina when she was just starting out as a realtor, and after meeting her, she knew she wanted to work with her. Tina is now like a second mother to her and an excellent mentor.

Next, Kim shared some important information that first-time home buyers should be aware of before beginning the buying process. One of the most important topics she covers in her monthly seminars is the importance of interviewing lenders. She explains that different loan programs and down payment assistance are available and that the right lender will point you in the right direction. Kim also addressed the 20% down payment myth, explaining that it can actually be as low as 3%, and even with that, you can be assisted.

The two then talked about The Tina Peterson Team receiving the highest performance award for Large Team Affiliate Volume and Affiliate Units, as determined by the number of sales and affiliate connections with other companies that help them sell homes. Kim also mentioned that they are particular about who they select for their team.

The conversation wraps up with Kim sharing how she intends to expand her online presence, to which she responds by remaining consistent. Kevin also shared the following quote: “Life is hard for two reasons: you’re leaving your comfort zone or you’re still in it.” Kim explained how this relates to her profession, stating that it is either where you are or where you want to be.
