Here’s what you missed from Dylan Hite…
The conversation starts with Dylan sharing what his typical day looks like as a realtor and his life outside of real estate, as a jujitsu instructor. He shared the lessons he learned on being efficient with your energy and how it helps him in his career in real estate.
Next, Kevin asked Dylan if he thought realtors should own a home in order to sell one. Dylan believes that while purchasing a home is necessary, he does not need to own one. He also stated that renting may sound good or bad, but it all comes down to finding the right fit for your lifestyle.
Dylan then discussed rental properties and how his Midland neighborhood is one of the few that does not encourage AirBnBs. While it may be a good investment, there are numerous factors to consider.
When asked about prospecting clients, Dylan believes that the best way to network is by engaging with people face-to-face. He also added that meeting new people is how you can work your way to build your business.
Dylan went on to say that knowing his clients aren’t going to buy the first house they see is one of the most difficult aspects of showing a house. It’s all about knowing you’re in it for the long haul because you want to help your client along the way. He has also learned the importance of helping clients in understanding the process ahead of time in order to manage their expectations.
Kevin wraps up the conversation by asking Dylan about his goals for 2023, which is to double what he did last year. He also asked if there was anything he would do differently if he could start over as a realtor. He said he’d remind himself that failures and losses are part of success and not to worry about them.
