Here’s what you missed from Nicole Elizabeth Yaeger…
The conversation starts with Nicole addressing the qualities she believes a real estate agent should have. She emphasized the importance of caring more about your client than the commission. It is fundamental to show compassion, provide answers to any questions your client may have, and be proactive in guiding them.
Kevin then asked Nicole what she had to overcome as a businesswoman, especially as a single mother. She talked about how she got started in real estate with two jobs and the importance of figuring out what you’re willing to give up to make things work. She recognized the importance of setting boundaries and directing her energy toward those who support and lift her up.
Next, she talked about Level Up, an event she organized for businesswomen, and what inspired her to start the project. She talked about how she opened it up with a vulnerable look at her life and everything she had gone through. She recognizes the power of speaking her truth and the community it has created for them to grow as a group. While it is a female-led event, it is not limited to women. She also highlighted the value of the event in terms of collaboration, learning, and connections.
Nicole is honored to be among the top-producing realtors in the industry as a two-time ICON award winner. She was also named to the Top 50 on Social Media in Michigan, for which she was unsure of the criteria, but her posts and influence must have been significant. Nicole then discussed how she assists sellers in staging their homes and the difference it makes during the selling process. She shared some of her clients’ stories and how she assisted them in staging their properties, sometimes using her own money and furniture. Going above and beyond paid off, as the majority of them sold quickly after staging.
Next, Nicole talks about how she finds the market in her area weird. She also shared some advice she would give her clients in this situation: be patient with the market and follow her advice, and they will be fine. It’s also important not to rely too heavily on statistics from the media, as their information focuses on the big picture. Listening to your local realtor will help you understand what’s going on in your area on a micro level.
Nicole then discussed her new office, which will take a modern approach to real estate. She asserted the value of utilizing social media, collaborating over competing, and working in a cloud-based brokerage since all of them work from home. She also talked about the connection between eXp and Metaverse and how it assists them. In the metaverse, she can learn from experts all over the country and even the world by using little avatars.
The conversation wraps up with Kevin asking Nicole what advice she’d give herself when she first started. She answered that she would not buy everything all at once. It’s important to pay attention to how you spend your money, invest in your knowledge, and surround yourself with people who inspire you.
