What is your role at WindowStill and what does a day of work typically look like for you?

I’m a photographer with WindowStill. On a typical day, I connect with agents and build my network. When I’m not connecting with agents, I’m shooting houses all over Traverse City!

What do you like to do in your free time when you’re not working?

When I’m not working, I love to flip houses. I’m actually working towards owning a bed and breakfast/destination property, meant to hold family reunions, weddings, etc.

I also enjoy fly fishing and landscape/wildlife photography.

What advice would you give to someone that’s new to your field and why?

I would advise a new photographer to be honest, persistent, kind, and punctual. It may take some time to build a business, however, these qualities are crucial for building one.

For those of us still getting started in our fields, it takes time to build a reputation that will last!

What do you feel is the most important quality for someone in your field and why?

My field covers a lot of ground (not only with WindowStill but with my other work in the community). So, honesty is the most important to me.

If you’re honest with clients about things like pricing, scheduling, turnaround, and your skills, you’ll succeed!
