Real Estate Photographer Spotlight: Meridith Bearden

This week under the WindowStill Spotlight, we have Meridith Bearden!

Meridith is one of our awesome real estate photographers in Savannah, Georgia. She told us about her daily routine and some of her favorite things to do in her free time.

Here’s what this Savannah, GA photographer had to say…

What is your role at WindowStill and what does a day of work typically look like for you?

A typical workday involves replying to emails and checking my schedule to see the upcoming appointments I have for the day.

Before I head out to a photoshoot, I double-check my equipment and make sure I have everything that I need. I also look in the notes section to see what each client requests for their photos.

Then, I spend the day going to shoots and photographing different properties (which is my favorite part of the day). I enjoy meeting with realtors, seeing different properties, and capturing unique homes. After all my appointments are done, I upload all of my photos to be edited by the Windowstill team.

What do you like to do in your free time when you’re not working?

When I am not working, I am in the pottery studio working on commissions or my own personal projects.

What advice would you give to someone that’s new to your field and why?

I would tell someone who is just getting started in this field to set goals for themselves. Once they’ve decided on a set of goals, it’s time to take action to reach those goals.

While working towards your goals, stay consistent and hold yourself accountable. Learn as much as you can and talk to others who are already succeeding in this field.

What do you feel is the most important quality for someone in your field and why?

It’s important to think creatively and critically when you are at a shoot. It’s also very important to be consistent in marketing yourself as an artist and with your work, as taking photos is just part of running your own business as a photographer.
