Here’s what you missed from Julia Ollearis…

The conversation begins with Julia providing some background on how she got into real estate. She explained how she had no intention of working in real estate at first and how her degree in marketing and public relations, as well as an associate’s degree in photography, led her to do so.

Julia then discussed how she made the transition to full-time agent, particularly during the lockdown. She described how she opted to become a real estate photographer and related the story of her first sale. She currently serves Howell, Michigan, and the surrounding counties, all the way up to Metro Detroit.

When Kevin asked Julia what sets her apart from other real estate agents, she mentioned how she actively listens to her clients’ needs and advocates for them without being pushy.

Next, Julia shared how she has evolved over time by learning from other realtors and incorporating it into her business. Her enthusiasm for learning and listening to other people’s stories played a significant role in this.

The conversation then shifts to Julia addressing her thoughts on the current state of her local real estate market. She explained that she has noticed buyers riding the spring fever and has begun looking at homes. However, the inventory is undeniably low right now, which makes for a fun competition.

The conversation ends with Julia talking about some of the common misconceptions for first-time homebuyers. To Kevin’s surprise, a buyer’s agent is actually paid for by the seller rather than the buyer. She also discussed the most important qualities she believes make a successful real estate agent: being a good listener, being determined, having a personality, and always learning.
