The conversation starts off with Josh giving a little bit of background on what he does. He talks about how he started with property management, property portfolio, and the restoration of homes.

He spends some time talking about his work as an airline pilot in the past and how it led him to his first transactions buying rental properties and flipping houses. Next, he tells a story about the worst property showing he’s been to and his goals for the future.

Brad and Taylor ask if Josh has any lessons he learned through the years that he’d share with new agents. He emphasized the value of first transactions and sticking in the industry. He also shared that if he had to start all over again, he’d slow down his first couple of years and start with blanket financing.

Brad and Taylor then ask what Josh and his company usually look out for when investing in a property, to which he mentions the importance of the location and investment return. 

The conversation wraps up with Josh sharing his favorite business book: The E Myth, where he shared how it helped him learn to work himself out of the day-to-day, run and manage his business better, and accelerate his company’s portfolio growth.
