Here’s what you missed from Brittany Walls…
Brittany found her way into real estate following a college car accident that resulted in a settlement, which she initially invested in buying and flipping houses in Detroit. Her transition into real estate sales occurred when a friend asked her to be their agent, prompting her to complete the necessary courses online and pass the exam on her first attempt. One of Britanny’s favorite aspects of real estate is assisting first-time home buyers in accessing down payment assistance programs, relishing the opportunity to educate and provide resources to this group.
Interacting with renters and first-time buyers is a significant part of Brittany’s work, where she enlightens renters about the benefits of homeownership versus renting and introduces them to various available programs. She recalls a particularly challenging yet rewarding experience assisting a veteran in utilizing a VA loan to purchase a house, going above and beyond, including visiting the veteran in the hospital, to ensure a successful transaction. Brittany attributes her passion for service to her mother’s influence, who instilled a deep sense of community and church service in her during childhood through volunteering activities like soup kitchens and holiday charity drives.
Expanding her outreach, Brittany started a YouTube channel focused on home buying education and tips, catering to a broader audience seeking real estate knowledge. Additionally, she is initiating a monthly investor meetup in Saginaw to foster collaboration among investors, contractors, and lenders, aiming to enhance the rental community and improve affordable housing options for first-time buyers.
Reflecting on her real estate journey, Brittany shares a heartwarming story of helping a pregnant client find a home before her wedding, culminating in a memorable experience where the client’s wedding reception was held at the newly purchased house. Looking ahead, she considers the importance of mentorship and support, advocating for joining a team for foundational skills and guidance in building a successful business.
Brittany emphasizes the significance of task blocking over time blocking to manage her busy schedule effectively, focusing on accomplishing key tasks daily to propel her business forward. Walls also plans to host a client appreciation event and aims to make meaningful connections in her community to improve housing standards and accountability among landlords. Balancing her professional and personal life, Walls is excited about taking a well-deserved vacation to relax and spend time with family in Atlanta, marking a refreshing break from her busy real estate endeavors.
