The client was house-hunting in the competitive Ann Arbor market earlier this year, characterized by fast-paced multiple-offer situations. However, Meghan stressed the importance of using a local lender, citing their strong reputation, intimate knowledge of the neighborhood, and established relationships with other agents. As a result, the offer was accepted. Meghan underscores that while larger institutions like Chase may involve numerous individuals and operate within standard hours, local lenders offer personalized service and go the extra mile to secure favorable outcomes for clients.

The house, built in 1836, holds a rich history as the first frame-built home in Livingston County, as documented in a 1970s newspaper article.
