WindowStill Spotlight: Chris Hazleton

This week under the WindowStill Spotlight, we have Chris Hazleton!

Chris is one of the Operations Specialists at WindowStill’s office in Eaton Rapids, MI. He shared what his typical day looks like and some advice he’d give to someone in his field.

What is your role at WindowStill and what does a day of work typically look like for you?

I am an Operations Specialist not only at WindowStill but also for our sister firm, Lime Green Clean. If you contacted us on the weekends, you most likely had spoken to me!

One day is never the same, but core tasks include scheduling appointments for our clients, troubleshooting with photographers, and managing both companies’ general back-end operations. We also handle multiple lines of communication, so it keeps things interesting.

What do you like to do in your free time when you’re not working?

When I’m not working, I’m usually working on one of our cars, studying home repair techniques, cooking (give me some good recipes to try!), or working on music in my home studio. I also enjoy playing video games when I have the chance.

What advice would you give to someone that’s new to your field and why?

Multitasking is a talent you will become extremely familiar with in any operations/customer support function; there is always something to do, always a message to respond to, and it is important that you stay on top of it all so you don’t miss a beat. Only excelling in this skill will benefit your job!

Also, never be afraid to ask for help. Something you’ve been struggling with for a long time may have a simple solution that only takes a few minutes to learn, and it’s all part of the process.

What do you feel is the most important quality for someone in your field and why?

Patience is an absolute must in any customer service position. Not only will it make your interactions with clients and coworkers better, but it will also improve your quality of work.
