WindowStill Spotlight: Julia Arnold

This week under the WindowStill Spotlight, we have Julia Arnold! Julia is the director of sales at our main office as well as a photographer in Livingston, Oakland, and Macon’s County.

Here’s what she had to say…

What is your role at WindowStill and what does a day of work typically look like for you?

I am newly the director of sales as well as a photographer for WindowStill!

A typical day for me starts with getting up and getting my kids ready to be dropped off at daycare. Once the kids are dropped off, I contact agents to provide them with details about WindowStill and our photography services.

What do you feel is the most important quality for a photographer/ videographer and why?

I feel like the most important qualities are the ability to connect with people and confidence.

When it comes to photographing houses for clients, you need to be able to connect with an agent so you have a business connection long-term. With photography, it’s essential that you’re confident about your work.

The vast majority of the time, the connections you make in business are responsible for future business. The talent you develop is responsible for the other business!

What do you like to do in your free time when you’re not working?

When I’m not working, I love spending time with my kids! Joelle is three and Jae is 1 1/2!

What advice would you give to an aspiring photographer/videographer and why?

I would tell them to never stop and to always keep going.

I have dreamed of becoming a photographer since I was 14. At that point, I wasn’t good (like really bad!), however, after years of continuously trying, I improved drastically. I would also advise an aspiring photographer to not listen to those doubting their ability. I was looked at funny by a number of my teachers in high school when I said I wanted to be a professional photographer.

Now, I’ve been able to make my dreams come true by bringing listings to life and capturing weddings!
