WindowStill Spotlight: Taylor Ganton
This week under the WindowStill Spotlight, we have Taylor Ganton!
Taylor is one of our Operations Specialists, working at the main office in Eaton Rapids. Here’s what she had to say!
What brought you to WindowStill?
Since I was homeschooling my two older boys, I was seeking a job opportunity that allowed me to work from home. I found WindowStill during this job search.
To be honest, I hadn’t heard of the company before stumbling upon the job listing, so I reached out to Nikita to learn more about the job and WindowStill as a company. I ended up getting the job and now I’m part of the WindowStill Team!
What’s your favorite part of your job?
I enjoy working with such a creative team. Being surrounded by all this creativity has helped me grow personally because I’ve been given opportunities to be creative myself!
I also enjoy the flexibility my job provides. My family is very important to me and being able to work from home makes me feel like I don’t have to miss out on family time.
How has WindowStill helped you in your career development?
Joining the WindowStill team has completely changed my career path, which I love!
I recognize the opportunities to grow within the company and that encourages me to keep growing and developing. Even though I’m new, I’m excited to see how my career blossoms with WindowStill!
Aside from professional growth, I’m experiencing a lot of personal growth as well. WindowStill is helping me learn to be less camera shy and push myself out of my comfort zone!
When you’re not working, what do you like to do in your free time?
When I’m not working I’m usually spending time with my husband and my boys.
We like to ride four-wheelers and dirt bikes on the weekends or take family walks on game trails. When I’m not spending time with family, I enjoy getting together with friends to catch up.
At this time of year, I love to drive around town looking at all the Christmas decorations. Or, I’ll go to Target (we can’t forget about Target) just to browse as I sip on an iced coffee. This is one activity I do without the husband and kids!
If you could learn to do any skill, what would you choose and why?
Professionally, I’d love to learn the skills of a seasoned photographer. These skills would not only help me grow as an employee but personally as well by giving me a creative outlet!
In my personal life, I’d love to learn how to bake. I’m a great cook, but I can’t make a good cookie to save my life! My mom and grandma make incredible desserts so I want to learn how to bake as part of the family tradition.
I mean, how much of a bummer would it be if I couldn’t bake delicious holiday treats for my grandkids one day?
I’m always wondering how something that seems so simple can actually be so hard. Once I perfect my baking skills I’ll be able to keep the recipes in the family!
